THE WINANS

Family photos don't have to be a big production. Sometimes you just need pretty light, a big patch of grass, and an almost-three-year-old running the show.

Abby told me their family photos were waaaayyy overdue, and they wanted this session to capture the love they have for their daughter and for each other. They try to take family photos around her birthday each year so they can remember what their lives looked like at that exact point in time—which I LOVE as a reason for doing them.

And at almost three, she is very much in her threeanger era (Abby's word, not mine promise!!). So instead of expecting her to stand still and smile at me for twenty minutes, moooooooved baby! Which, if you didn’t know, is a pretty solid recipe for family photos that actually feel like your family.
