They chose to make the whole day about the two of them, to create a laid back environment for themselves with little stress, and to enjoy every bit of the day - even the oopsies.
Their ceremony and reception was held in your not-so-typical venue: The City Museum. We spent our photo time running around this playground, sliding down slides that would surely get her dress dirty, and created memories rather than perfection.

Micro-weddings have quickly become one of my favorite things to shoot. The smaller guest count sometimes allows for so many more personality photos. I have more time to observe guest interactions, more time to observe the couple interacting with each other, and can get in a little more closely for those intimate shots.
Their day was down to Earth, filled with laughter, and a really freaking good cheese board.

They already had engagement photos so we had not even met in person yet when their day came. Very quickly, we clicked and their family thought I was a long time friend (HAH!).
Their whole shendig was outdoors, we even had a little drizzle, but everyone was so happy to celebrate with them that it was low stress, high energy, and the best time.
