KARA & HER BOYS
Kara gave me a very specific assignment: Summer, unplugged family time, laughter, joy, sticky hands and carefree kids.
So naturally, we let the boys run around barefoot, brought out the soda pop, laid in the grass, laughed a lot, and generally did very little that resembled standing nicely and smiling at the camera. Which was kind of the whole point.
Kara told me she does yearly photos with her boys because her own family didn't take many growing up, and she never wants to realize she missed the chance to remember this part of their lives. She also described them as "chaos incarnate" and wanted a session where they could just be themselves.
And these feel exactly like that to me. A little chaotic. A lot happy. Bare feet, stupid jokes, brothers being brothers, and a mom right in the middle of it all.
