THE REYNOLDS

I've spent the last year getting to document this sweet family as they welcomed their newest little one into the world, and somehow we blinked and found ourselves at her one-year session. There is something so wildly unfair about how quickly babies grow in that first year. One minute they're curled up in your arms during a newborn session, and the next they're sitting in the grass, showing off their personality, tiny opinions, and those little expressions that make everyone around them laugh.

The weather almost had other plans for us. The forecast only gave us a small chance of rain, but of course about ten minutes before we were supposed to start, the sky opened up and it absolutely poured. Thankfully, Midwest weather likes to keep us humble and the rain moved through. The clouds softened, the sun peeked back out, and we were gifted the dreamiest evening light.

One of the things I love most about milestone photography is getting to see how families grow right alongside their babies. Every session becomes a bookmark in that story.
