-10 TIPS & TRICKS FOR BEING THE BEST WEDDING GUEST YOU CAN BE-
1. SAY YES AS A GUEST
Pleaaaaaaaaase RSVP. Even if you can't come RSVP. Your friends are throwing a huge (probably expensive) party, and the best thing that you can do for them is RSVP!
2. CHECK OUT THEIR REGISTRY
If you're able to share a gift with the bride & groom, check out their registry. I know that they took the time to go around with that fancy gun scanner all over Target so that they can start their marriage with the things that they know that they will utilize!
3. BE ON TIME
Only the happy couple get to be late today, okay!? Show up on time and grab a seat so that everything goes as smooth as possible for the two of them. Also, please oh please don't text the bride or groom the morning of and ask for directions or anything like that! There's lots of people who are happy to help - I promise you that.
4. DRESS THE PART
It's an excuse to dress up - do it! My ladies, don't forget to check where the ceremony & reception are held. You definitely don't want to be walking through grass in heels, that's fun for no one! And I feel like I don't even need to say it buuuuut don't wear white. Also, you're probably going to be in some pictures, new profile photo, am I right?!
5. BE SOCIAL | DON'T BE ON SOCIAL
When you're at the wedding, be at the wedding! Facebook, twitter, instagram, whatever will be there when the wedding is over but this day is once in a lifetime, and out of everyone - the newlyweds wanted you to be there to celebrate with them. And haaaayyyyyy they hired a photographer to do the shooting, so don't worry I got it! Phones hanging out over the aisle while they are sharing their first kiss isn't exactly cute okaaaaaay?
6. BE A TEAM PLAYER
I know that sometimes weddings have small aspects that are uncomfortable, out of your way, not the norm, whatever the case may be. You have no idea how much your happiness and participation become a part of the wedding day itself. I promise you, it's noticed.
7. DRINK RESPONSIBLY
Guys. We have Uber. Don't ever feel like you can't ask or call a ride home. This day is great, and you should absolutely celebrate but do so responsibly!
Be respectful of the venue! These people take the time weekly if not daily to ensure that your experience is a great one. My momma always said "Leave it better than you found it."
9. SAVE THE DRAMA FOR MAMA
Everyone knows that weddings can bring some high emotions of all different kinds, but today is a day of celebration. Let's save all the drama for another time!
Have. Fun. This is the most important rule. Always!
